View from Saas-Fee Switzerland!

Hey everyone. I have had a great summer but it is now winding down and I’m getting ready for school, which starts next week.

I went on two trips this summer, one to Saas Fee, Switzerland and then later in the summer to Mt. Hood. Both of the trips were with KMS (Killington Mountain School), which is the school that I go to.

The first one was to Saas-Fee Switzerland. We went for a little over 2 weeks and it was really fun and we had really good weather. The next trip was to Mt. Hood, which was about 2 weeks after Switzerland, and we were there for about a week and a half. This trip was a little smaller group, which made for really good training and a lot of runs.

When I got back from Mt. Hood I went straight back to New Jersey for soccer and had double sessions for the next two weeks after I got back. Overall it was a busy but really fun summer. I can’t wait to get back on skis and start my J2 career.

Kazui at Mt. Hood

Hey everyone. My summers been great so far and right now, its just getting better and better. I have been at Mt. Hood for a week now and will stay for another week.

The snow has held up pretty good and the skiing in general has just been fantastic. The winds picked up these past two days and they had to stop the lifts which sucked. But I got to see a lot of amazing skiers and hope to learn from some of the best in the days to come. I'm real pumped for my 2nd year as a J3 next year and hope for the best.

I plan on working hard this summer and fall to improve on my skiing. But the sooner ski season comes, the faster summers gonna end and schools gonna start, which is a bummer for me at least. I'm really excited to ski again and I can't wait to try out that slick blue speed suit SRD. Bye everyone!

Splits at the World Cup Dreams Event

(Here I am pictured with Andrew and holding up his medal, he spilled some water on himself shortly before this picture)

Hey everyone! Last week I was lucky enough to participate in the World Cup Dreams Foundation camp. It was a two day camp, barbecue, and auction/dinner at the Multnomah Athletic Club.

On Saturday, I skied slalom with 2010 US Olympian Jake Zamansky and did some GS turns with Kevin Francis. On Sunday, I jumped around skiing with Scott Macartney and 2010 Olympic Super G Bronze Medalist Andrew Weibrecht. I was lucky enough to wear his Olympic medal, and DANG that thing was heavy!

Other athletes who were there were Dane Spencer, Laurenne Ross, Keely Keleher, Leanne Smith, Alice McKennis, and Bryon Friedman (Didn't ski). The camp was a blast. I learned a lot just by watching these amazing skiiers do their thing, but I also learned through the tips and advice that they gave me. It was truly an awesome experience to get to know these guys and hear some of their stories growing up and while on the Team.

Willy Scroggins did an awesome job putting the event together and I hope to do this camp next summer!

Come visit Marc and I at the SRD Race Bus at Camp SRD in downtown Govy at Mt. Hood! Goodbye everyone!
