This film captures what being a Sugarloafer means. Throughout the 2009-2010 winter season, Kurt Miller (son of legend Warren Miller and former owner of Warren Miller Entertainment) and director Chris Keig (who produced the snowboarding segment featured in the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Vancouver Olympics) worked to condense this experience of what it means to be a Sugarloafer into a short film.
The film covers the few powder days and the many of the cold icy days. The film was a 23 minute sum of what it is like to ski at the greatest mountain in the East. Featuring high definition skiing action, shot at Sugarloaf during the 2009-10 season, Big Mountain.
Big Love showcases Sugarloaf's history and celebrates the unique personalities that helped to shape the resort. It was an amazing film that really captures what it means to be a true Sugarloafer. This reason for why I am blogging about this is that I take great pride in being a Sugarloafer, and I thinks this helps other understand what it means to me.
