Hi everyone!
On the 1st-4th of January a few selected individuals and I got invited to go to the Topolino Time Trail Project in Winter Park. There were 16 girls and 20 boys from the Rocky-Central division. On the 1st and 2nd we had GS and SL training days. On the 3rd and 4th were the races; we took three SL runs on the 3rd and three GS runs on the 4th. For SL the girls and boys raced on different courses, but for GS both the boys and girls raced on the same course.
For all three runs we raced on the same courses, they want to make the race feel extremely similar to training. They take your best result from each event and combine them together. In SL I got third overall and in GS I won, but unfortunately in the end I ended up second overall by .35 of a second. The winner of this race gets to go over to Italy for a international Topolino Games.
Let’s keep praying for snow because I think it is working Vail has been getting tons of snow!
