Hey! I just got back from skiing at Mt. Hood. I was at the J3 Western Region National Development Camp. I had an incredible time! For August, the snow was in great condition and there was plenty of it. We were able to ski all the way to the bottom which is very unusual for this late in the season. Not to mention the sky was clear and blue every day. I was there for 6 days and skied from seven until noon every day.
The camp emphasized the basic fundamentals of skiing and a strong and balanced athletic stance. We also had ski education at night where I learned a lot of valuable information. It was so much fun being with such a big group of talented athletes. I made incredible friends from all over the western US and I am very much looking forward to seeing them all at JOs next year.
