I finished the 2010/11 ski season with a race in Loveland Colorado. It is a fun end of the year open race. We were unlucky with the overcast and snowy weather but the race was great. Almost every year toward the end of the season my slalom starts improving like crazy. Everything I have been working on starts fitting together with a whole season of training behind me. This happened very late for me this year because of how little I trained due to injuries but just in time for my last two races.
On Saturday, I did not have a great first run but a better second run handed me an eight overall and second for the J3s. Sunday I was able to put two runs together for a fourth overall and first for the J3s. Neither of my Sunday runs was perfect, and I had a good amount of bobbles, but it is almost impossible for me to be completely happy with any run. After a tough season I am happy I could end it well.
