Hey!
It’s now 5 weeks since I tore my ACL. The day
after tomorrow I’m having surgury and I’m really looking forward to it, and to
be able to start working my way back.
I’ve been setting up small goals to get
through with the hours spent on rehab and with my psysiotherapist. The final
goal of this season is to be back on skis for our camp in Juvass, Norway the 21
of June.
Since I’ve done this process once before,
sadly, I know what I need to do to get back. It is definitely a lot of hard
work - physical, that has to put into this, but also mental. I remember how I
after a while of rehabing got super motivated and stoked to work on my way
back. I think my positive and strong attitude made a huge difference in how I
made progress, and got back on skis sooner than expected. I’m gonna try to keep
that mental attitude this time too!
The good thing that will come out of this is
that my new ACL will be stronger than the last one. Wish me luck!
