After returning from my trip to the Beaver Creek world cup I raced in my first FIS race. I got home really late Friday night and got up early and SL trained at Sugarloaf. Saturday afternoon I did homework and went to the gym. The I got up at 4:45 a.m. and drove over to Sunday River for a FIS open SL.
I had a really packed in weekend. We raced on an upper trail that was pretty steep and icy. I ran 106 which was at the beginning of the 990's, there were a bunch of college teams at the race which made it a really cool experience. I was in 67th after first run. The second run conditions were a lot better, I stuck it out and finished in 54th place which was respectable for my first race. The penalty was 17 but sadly I was 10 seconds out and scored 100.39, almost sub hundred.
I just left for Attitash for FIS development races, 2 Sl and 2 GS. Wish me luck!
