Finally finished up the FIS-DEVO's at Attitash, NH this past week. Going into FIS I didn't really know what to expect. I really didn't focus on how bad the course was going to be or how far behind I was going to be, so I really just didn't think about anything and sent it for my first FIS race ever at Sunday River, ME.
At the FIS-Opens at Sunday River, I really was just focusing on finishing. I didn't try and fight the ruts, and the results didn't turn out that bad. I had some trouble finishing the second run, not taking advantage of the early starts at all. Even though the points I scored weren't too great, I know my mistakes cost me a lot of time, and I still wasn't too far off the leader which I was pretty happy about. Lots of room for improvement, but I know the skiing's there and now I just have to execute. Happy Holidays!
