During the past few weeks, I was with SMS at Copper Colorado training. We did lots of freeskiing and drills, and at the end we did some apex and full GS gate training. We spent 12 days their and 10 days on snow. Without a doubt, our first break when we went to see the Beaver Creek World Cup was the best memory.
Some of my friends and I decided to write BODE! on our chest with paint in the freezing cold. Not only did we get a picture with Bode himself, but we also got some mass attention too. Even though the race was cancelled, I haven't had fun like that in quite some time. We also had 2 great powder days during our trip.
Back home in Vermont, theres no such thing as powder so my friends and I rented fat $50 skis for the day and shredded some Colorado powder. On our first day back everyone was exhausted. Our bus was caught up in some snow and we ended up getting home at around 3 in the morning. I would like to thank the whole SMS staff that helped us get out of this mess. I have one more day of school and then I am off for 2 weeks. My first race is on December 29th at Okemo. Wish everyone a happy holidays and ski fast!
