Mt. Hood Training
Last weekend, I went up to Timberline to train some GS with my team for the first time since mid June. Fortunately for me, I only live an hour away from Mt. Hood, and the training's still great! Timberline is pretty notorious for it's bad weather (at least around here it is), and I got the whole package that weekend. It was sub 30 degrees (not bad) all three days, and on the second day they had to shut down the lifts at around 11:00 a.m. due to wind gusts up to 70 mph! They wouldn't let anyone else back on Palmer, so our icy GS course was waiting for us the next morning! I felt really good this weekend, and I can already tell that I'm going to have a great year!
