LeBlanc's LeBlog: Off to Loveland!

Hi everyone, I just got back from San Diego CA. I had a pretty good time. The dry land there was intense, but it was easier than the high altitude up here in Vail.

I start skiing on October 20th in Loveland. I am so stoked! We're going to train GS and SL. After three days of Loveland, a week later I am going to Copper with the RMD team. That's going to be really exciting! We'll be training next to the U.S. Ski Team!

After all the early season camps are over, I start Ski Club Vail. We start ski club on November 1st. It's going to be awesome. Ripping it up on Vail Mountain and supporting SRD.

I can already tell it's going to be a great ski season!

Kaz in Valle Nevado Chile

For the past week, I have been skiing at Valle Nevado in Chile.

The first two days we skied on our slalom skis and worked on fundamentals. Then we jumped into GS and did a variety of different drills and finally we went into an apex GS course after 4 days. The snow conditions are bad but luckily for us we got to train on a trail called "Shake". It is isolated form the rest of the mountain and it has a very steep pitch to it.

Most of the days we train GS, the US Ski Team would be training right next to us. It was a good experience for all of us to see the guys on the team ski right besides us. We trained GS for another two days and some people switched gears to SG. We trained SG for three days straight and we finally got an off day.

I am staying in Chile for another week and I am super pumped for the ski season to start!
