Beaver Creek World Cup Time!

The SRD tent at the Finish Stadium at the Beaver Creek Birds of Prey World Cup. Day 2 ( well day 1 as the SK was canceled Thursday ). Norway's Aksel Lund Svindal took revenge on the DH course that took him out last season with the win today. Amazing. The Offical SRD Race T-shirts were flying out of the tent- I think nearly 200 sold the first day! Tomorrow the Super G. Stay tuned.....

Meet New SRD Racer Taylor Shiffrin

Hi, My name is Taylor Shiffrin, I am 16 years old and I currently live in Vail Colorado. I was born and raised in Vail for 11 years until my family moved to the New England for 5 years. I have recently moved back to Vail from Hanover New Hampshire. Although I lived in New Hampshire, I attended a ski academy in Vermont called Burke Mountain Academy. I went to school and skied for Burke for almost two years before my family moved back to Vail.

I now go to school at the new Vail Ski and Snowboard Academy located in Minturn and I ski on behalf of the Ski and Snowboard Club Vail. I started skiing when i was about 2 years old and have been racing since I was about 6 years old and I hope to someday race at the World Cup level.

SRD Announces 2008-9 Jr. Race Team!

Ski Racing Development, based in Vail Colorado is excited to take part in supporting and supplying some of the top junior alpine ski racers in the United States. Presenting the SRD Team for 2008-2009!

With the creation of the SRD Development Team we hope to help support, develop and supply these young racers with the very best in speed equipment featuring the SRD World Cup race suits and ski poles. Our goal is to develop our grass-roots support program starting with these highly motivated young athletes as they progress towards the US Ski team. Truly, we are living up to our name by proudly supporting Ski Racing Development! SRD is also pleased to partner with World Cup Supply in presenting the Fast Skier Junior Alpine Scholarship Fund.

SRD’s Team Leader Barry Levinson says “These young racers will be using SRD race gear all season long in training and competition demonstrating our commitment to supplying Fast Gear for Fast Skiers!"

These exceptional athletes have scored wins from the International Topolino Games in Italy and Canada’s Whistler Cup to numerous Junior Olympic titles and regional USSA/FIS races. To all our SRD Team skiers ….. Go fast and good luck this season!
