Loveland Derby Results!

|| Andrew – Kieffer – Jessie at Loveland Derby

The 2007-8 race season wrapped up with the annual Loveland Derby and our youngest J4 racer Andrew Hancock racing out of the Aspen Ski Club took a podium in the slalom in a very tight race. Andrew was first among 1996 year racers and had the fastest 2nd run! Great finish to the season Andrew!

1st year J2 Kieffer Christianson in SRD's Goldwin Swedish Team suit took a 6th, 7th and 13th place and was first among 1992 year racers in each event!

1st year Ski Club Vail athlete J3 Jessie Delacenserie took 8th (2nd among 1993 year racers) competing against many division 1 university racers almost 10 years older!

Enjoy the spring and a break for the gates!

May Master's Race Camp at Arapahoe Basin

We wanted to take a moment to invite you to an upcoming camp that our good friend and race coach Jim Catalano developed and we are very excited about! It is the 2008 May Master's Race Camp at Arapahoe-Basin in Colorado. Again this season, A-Basin will host late-season training to Master's athletes and club program athletes. This is the perfect opportunity to fine-tune your skills and mechanics or learn some new secrets. The staff brings first-hand experience, from FIS to USSA racing. This camp is an excellent opportunity to get in a great deal of free skiing and gate training mileage on a wide variety of terrain and snow conditions. The focus of the camp is on honing and refining technical and tactical skills with an emphasis on fundamentals. They will do a high volume of supervised free skiing, drills, GS and SL training. The camp will have private lane space for all of their gate training. A great head start to the Master’s Summer Nationals.

The dates of the camp are May 22nd - 27th, 2008. The camp includes the following: lift tickets, private training lane, coaching, video analysis, conditioning and nutrition advice and more. Transportation, Lodging and Meals are NOT included.

They are inviting masters and college level racers and instructors ages 18 and up to enroll. The camp is limited to the first 15 who register. The low athlete-to-coach ratio will allow personal and quality training for each individual. REGISTRATION CLOSES MAY 1, 2008.
