SRD's Calabrese takes Smartwool win in Telluride!

SRD Team and local Vail Ski Academy racer Andreas Calabrese took 1st place in the Smartwool Ski Cup GS race at Telluride Colorado on January 26th and just missed the podium with a 4th place result the next day. Must be the partial Swedish genetics!

Cartmill & Christianson off to J2 Nationals in Aspen

SRD Team member Cooper Cartmill competed at Beaver Creek Colorado in a series of slaloms to culminate the qualifying for the J2 (15-16 year olds) Nationals. Cartmill raced successfully to maintain his first place qualifier standings in the J2 ranking and is off to J2 Nationals to join his SRD teammate Kieffer Christianson at the prestigious event to be held this March in Aspen.

Among the racers at ISPO were Ted Ligety at the Shred/Slytech Stand, 5x World Cup Champion Marc Girardelli, Kjetil André Aamodt at Phenix, Aksel Lund Svindal (looking well!), Freddy Nyberg at CRAFT, Didier Cuche and Marco Buchel at Alpina and Julia Mancuso at Rossignol.

SRD at St. Anton

Prior to ISPO my son Stefan and I got 2 days of skiing in under blue sunny skies at St. Anton and Lech in Austria. 9x the size of Vail, the Arlberg region is amazing. Great skiing, amazing lifts (heated chairlift seats!) and great food. Too bad we could'nt stay longer!

|| Fresh and fruity new POC helmets!

Finally back from the ISPO and SIA Ski Shows were we got to see all the 2008-09 gear. ISPO which is held in Munich Germany is THE international ski show with 16 halls filled with the latest gear. My son Stefan and I spent 3 days at the show (his first trip to Europe) where we selected all our new lines for the next catalog due out in September 2008. We have some great new lines which we will announce later, including some surprises!
